Recommendation / Location Intelligence

This week, we will study how to use recommendation systems and location intelligence to improve the performance of businesses, facilities, amenities in urban science.

We will have two practicals, one about next place prediction and another about location intelligence in retail.

Prepare

📖 Read some papers/reviews about use of recommendation systems and geomarketing for problems in urban science:

• Recommender Systems Handbook by Ricci et al.

• Recommendations in location-based social networks: a survey by Jie Bao et al. [1]

• The Big Book of Mobile Location Data Use Cases by Quadrant

• Location Intelligence for dummies by Carto
